ASANKRANGWA CATHOLIC HOSPITAL AND THE INMATES OF ASANKRANGWA POLICE CELLS RECEIVES DONATION FROM IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PARISH ASANKRANGWA.
The Immaculate Conception Parish Asankrangwa on May 1st, 2023 has embarked on a social outreach agenda as part of the Church’s 125th-anniversary celebrations.
Presenting the items, Mr. Peter Addo, the Anniversary Committee Chairman quoted “Matthew 25:36 “ I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me; I was in prison and you visited me.’
He said God wants our lives to overflow with mercy, love, and compassion — the marks of His kingdom. As followers of Jesus, we have a choice: respond to unsettling realities in fear and withdraw, or follow Him in responding to the greatest needs of our day with love and hope.
This donation expresses what Christ expects us to do in Matthew 25:36.
Rev. Fr. Anthony Kobina Gyan (ICCC Parish Priest), also added that We know salvation doesn’t depend only on faith alone but works, such as caring for those in need is evidence of a faith that changes lives.
He concluded that Along with our care and support, we’ve put that kind of faith to work and have expressed today to touch lives.
Rev. Fr. Enoch Abaidoo prayed for the hospital and blessed the items.
Receiving the donation, Dr. Sabina Ansa Donkor, Head of Facility, Fr. Thomas Alan Rooney Memorial Hospital thanked the Church for the kind gesture towards the Hospital.
She expressed and guaranteed the Church that the Hospital Administration will ensure the items will be allocated to the various wards to serve its intended objective.
At the Police Cells, Rev. Fr. Gyan delivered a message of hope to the inmates, Mr. Ofosu the Police Officer in charge thanked the Catholic Church for the love exhibited to the inmates.
In Attendance to do the presentation were the PPC board members, the Anniversary committee, some church members, and various societal representatives.
